Aline Lucas Guterres Morim is a Brazilian composer, music educator, and researcher whose work weaves embodiment, memory, and motherhood into poetic and interdisciplinary musical forms. Her practice explores sound as a site of intimate experience and transformative emotional resonance.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Composition (UFSM) and a Master’s degree in Education (UFRGS). As a CNPq research fellow, she investigated the application of information theory to the musical analysis of Lili Boulanger’s works; as a CAPES fellow, she examined the cognitive processes involved in musical composition among pre-adolescents and adolescents.
Now based in the Greater Boston area, she develops UTERUS, an artistic platform where creative practice, research, and lived experience converge to explore the expressive landscapes of the maternal body and the sensorial imagination.
